Game of Thrones Recap: Season 5, Episode 3: High Sparrow

We are on episode 3 now of Game of Thrones and the plot lines are slowly being laid down. There will be many big moments this season and the build-up to them is already palpable. I believe this season is going to deviate much more than any other from the books. With Season 5, we are now seeing the actors themselves grow up into young women and men and it is a bit daunting, but that just goes to show you how much we have grown up with them. Also, this season brings the most changes, Arya is no longer the little girl from Winterfell, Sansa is not scared of anyone anymore and Jon Snow has shown us how much he has grown up to be like the Starks. He is loyal, trust-worthy and will always do what he believes is right for the people.

This post is a little longer because I want to explain some of these new places to you guys.

Let’s discuss all the good stuff that happened on the episode.

The Walking Dead Recap: Season 5, Episode 4: Never Underestimate Beth

The Walking Dead Recap
Season 5, Episode 4
**SPOILER ALERT

Finally after all the waiting, we found out where our beloved Beth has been hidden. If you don’t remember last season she was basically kidnapped right under Daryl’s nose and we haven’t heard from her since. Some speculated that Gareth and his crew had her or maybe she was hiding in Terminus somewhere or maybe some other weird cult out there had taken her away. The point is we had no idea where she was and if she was even alive. Last year was a big change for the character of Beth, at first she was meek and barely even noticeable as Judith’s babysitter and Maggie’s sister, but with the death of her father she transformed into a true bad ass. Under the tutelage of Daryl of course she learned how to kill much more efficiently and started using her voice and coming into her own as a woman and an adult. This week’s episode only further served to build her character and show us how far she has come in the zombie apocalypse.

Ok get yourself a plate of guinea pig and let’s discuss what happened.

The Walking Dead Recap: Season 5, Episode 3: A Promise Is A Promise

The Walking Dead Recap
Season 5, Episode 3
**SPOILER ALERT

This week’s episode was fast paced and gave audiences plenty of answers. I feel like with many past seasons of TWD, we are given hints of what could or couldn’t be, but with this season they are coming right out and laying it on the table. Which I really enjoy because in the past they have dragged whole premises or issues out to the point where we are almost sick of hearing about the issue at hand. For example, when everyone was getting sick in the prison, that kept going on and on for episodes and it never really had that much value on the show. But this season, wow, the pacing is perfect, we are getting tidbits of information at the right time, not too much, not too little, just like Goldilocks and it is seamlessly working to make a pretty damn good season thus far.

Let’s discuss what went down with the good ol’ Grimes gang.

Mad Men Recap: Season 7, Episode 3: What Don Wants, He Sort Of Gets

Mad Men Recap
Season 7, Episode 3
**SPOILER ALERT

This week’s episode, “Field Trip,” illuminated for viewers whether or not Don Draper would return to work for SC&P. What Don did at the end of Season 6, when he admitted his life story to Hershey and basically told them that they did not need an ad campaign, and caused the firm to look at him differently. His erratic behavior partially caused by drinking too much was so unsettling, yes even to the other folks who drank almost as much, that he must take a leave of absence from the agency. The length of this leave has been unknown since the beginning and in this episode Don has finally lost hope of ever coming back. Despite this knowledge, he wants to work and he feels absolutely ready to get back in the swing of things, whether other people agree or not.

I am going to open up a Hershey kiss in memory of last Season and digest what happened this week. Maybe I should make it a gum drop?
